Can I have Ladies First if I have Insurance?

Yes, as long as you meet the income guidelines.

Once I've joined Ladies First, what happens next?

You will receive a Ladies First membership card in the mail. Then you can schedule an appointment with your health care provider.

Where do I go for my appointment?

You can go to your regular doctor or nurse. 

What if I don't have a doctor?

You can contact our Member Services and Outreach coordinator and she will help you find one. Or use this tool to help you find one. 

What does Ladies First cover?

Can Ladies First help me lose weight?

What if I can't afford my cholesterol, blood pressure, or diabetes medications?

Contact our Lifestyle Program Coordinator and she will help connect you to free or low cost medication options. 802-652-4139.

Can Ladies First help with transportation?

Yes, Contact our Member Services and Outreach Coordinator and she will help you arrange a ride. Please contact her at least two days in advance of your appointment.

Can Ladies First help me if I have a diagnosis of breast or cervical cancer?

Yes. Contact our Clinical Navigator and she will help you. 802-863-7332.

What do I do if I have an abnormal Pap test?

What do I do if I have an abnormal mammogram?

How often should I have a Pap test, mammogram, and Heart Health Screening?

Some people need screenings more often than others. Ask your doctor or nurse how often you need them and follow their recommendations. Also discuss your risk factors with your doctor or nurse. More information on screenings can be found in Other Resources. 

Should I get the HPV vaccine?

Discuss this with your doctor or nurse.
